Tours and visits to the courts
Any individual or group can visit or attend courts. Court hearings are open to the public, except when a judicial officer determines that a case will be held in a closed court.
Information about what is on in a particular court can be obtained from the online court list.
Local and District Courts
Court staff do not conduct tours of the Local and District Courts but groups can visit.
Supreme Court
Special arrangements can be made for group visits to the Supreme court on specific days. The visits include a talk by the court registrar.
Land and Environment Court
The Land and Environment Court has information about procedures that need to be followed in organising student tours.
